The Mail on Sunday (18 Sept 2016) have published an eight-page pull-out, ‘Think Yourself Slim’ and promised no forbidden foods, just the power of your mind to lose weight. Let’s look at how they did.

Types of fat

There are four types of natural fat, saturated, mono-unsaturated and polyunsaturated and, less commonly, natural transfats; we also have unnatural transfats which are sadly far too common.

Many fats are good for us and we need them in our diet. The term includes ‘oils’ which are fats that are runny at room temperature. It may surprise you to find out which fats are ‘good’ and which are ‘bad’. Read on!
